This is some promo art for a comic I'm getting ready to start in a month or so. As soon as I iron out some more of the final story details and design the last of the monsters to my liking, I'll begin.

ANYWAY, this is a piece I drew for it as a means of introducing it to everyone. The story takes place in the future on some (currently unnamed). Around forty years before the story begins, these metal monsters appeared from seemingly nowhere, and attacked the humans inhabiting the planet. Having now means of dealing with so many strong and unique enemies, the remaining members of the human government took what people they could find onto a large self-sustaining space ship, ABRAXAS, and fled into orbit where the monsters couldn't follow. For the time they hid in orbit, the remaining fragments of humanity started to work out ways to combat these monsters in order to win their planet back. Eventually, small strike teams of specially trained and equipped teams known simply as "monster hunters" were developed. The teams were to be shot down to the surface from the underbelly of ABRAXAS to slay whatever monsters they found. The story follows a particular team of monster hunters who, while on a routine mission, accidentally awaken the strongest monsters ever encountered, and discover a truth that could lead to the end of humanity's war against the monsters.

This particular picture shows the team in question facing off against one of the most powerful "Monster Kings", HYDRA.

More on the individual team members later. I've begun work on creating character sheets for each member, so look for those in the upcoming weeks.

And finally, the colors look somewhat right on the scan! Just a bit more tweaking with that scanner, and it'll be perfect.

If you guys have any ideas on what I could name this comic, I'll gladly take them. I'm completely out of em.
